    Osaka Castle

Depart from Singapore Changi Airport for your flight to Osaka/Nagoya. Upon arrival, make your way to Osaka and visit Osaka Castle Park, a symbol of the Osaka city with colorful blossoms in spring and bright crimson leaves in autumn. For lunch, try making and eating Takoyaki, or Octopus Balls is one of Japan’s best-known and popular street foods originated in Osaka. After lunch, make your way to bustling Osaka and walk it off in an enjoyable way by visiting Shinsaibashi Shopping Street, downtown Osaka’s major shopping belt to wrap up the day. Here take your pick from a selection of popular brands, chain stores, and independent boutiques. Next proceed to the CUPNOODLES Museum to learn about the history and making of instant noodles, followed by a DIY cup noodle session. Shirakawago

After breakfast, visit Shirakawago that is famous for their "Gassho-zukuri” (houses with steep thatched roofs)" farm houses that resemble the clasped hands in prayer. The unique architectural style was developed over many generations and is designed to withstand the large amounts of heavy snow that falls in the region during winter. The roofs, made without nails, provided a large attic space used for cultivating silkworms and now declared as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, explore Sanmachi the charming old town in Takayama with its buildings and streets dating back to the Edo period, once a flourished wealthy merchant town. Stroll around the narrow streets lined with traditional merchant houses, shops selling traditional crafts, restaurants serving local specialties, and sake breweries, with many of the buildings over 400 years old. You can also find a good selection of small museums and galleries as well. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing therapeutic hot spring bath in an onsen resort in Nagano.
